In the heart of the bush-veld you will find Dinkweng meaning place of the leopards in Pedi and Sotho. We have 7 Villa’s, each paying homage to nature, providing effortless enjoyment and tranquillity. Each villa is individually, luxuriously and authentically decorated. Each secluded villa has three en suite bedrooms, a large open plan lounge area, a private viewing deck, a splash pool and a modern kitchen. Our communal leisure area feature’s additional facilities for larger groups such as a pool and braai area as well as a thatched boma for dining and children’s play area to entertain the kids. Our reserve is populated with kudu, eland, impala, waterbuck, nyala, giraffe, zebra, blesbuck and other plains game. We offer a number of different walking trails, choose between leisurely walks or the more challenging paths covering the picturesque mountain area’s.

OUR INSPIRATION

Dinkweng is a private reserve located in Limpopo. It forms part of the Waterberg Biosphere, a unique conservation area. As such, we draw our inspiration from our natural surroundings, the bushveld; a place where you can exist in unity with nature, even if only for a fleeting moment. We trust that a true ‘world class hospitality’ status can only be achieved when we combine the traditions of the local community with exceptional service.

OUR STORY

“Whenever I found myself stuck in the ways I relate to things, I return to nature. It is my principal teacher and I try to open my whole being to what it has to say” – Wynn Bullock. On Dinkweng is a special tree, wrapped in folklore. Here you will find new leopard scratches daily and it is from this place that our property takes its name, which translates to ‘place of the leopards’. Rarely seen, the leopard is a majestic and fearless animal and at this special place, it lets us know that it is watching over us, here at Dinkweng. For this reason, we strive to live simply and in balance with nature, just like our guardian.
